Dennis M. Crumpler, General Partner, CIMCO LLC, Charlottesville, Va.
Crumpler represents CIMCO, an investment management company focused on technology
and real estate, as chairman of VSRnetworks, general partner of TechDiscovery
LLC, advisory board member of Chatham Capital and managing partner of Optima
Properties LLC.
Before joining CIMCO in 1998, he served as chairman and CEO of XcelleNet, Inc., which he co-founded in 1986. He has also served as an officer in the U.S. Army, as a consultant with McKinsey and Co., and as co-founder of Sales Technology, Inc. His nonprofit work includes serving as a trustee of the Southern Environmental Law Center, as a member of the board of visitors of the Carolina Environmental Program at the UNC-Chapel Hill, and chairman of the Cycling Challenge for the Boys & Girls Club of Charlottesville. Crumpler holds a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, and completed PhD coursework at the University of Edinburgh as a Rotary International Scholar. He is a Duke parent (Constance, ’10).
