Douglas G. Scrivner (AB ’73), General Counsel & Secretary, Accenture, San Jose, Calif.
As
general counsel, Scrivner has responsibility for all legal support at Accenture,
serving as principal counsel to senior leadership and the board of directors.
He joined Accenture in 1980 in the role of counsel, became a partner in 1986,
and was appointed general counsel in 1996. Previously, he was associated with
Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly in Minneapolis, Minn.
Scrivner has held leadership positions in several educational and professional organizations, including chairman of the visiting committee, University of Denver College of Law; Second Century Campaign, University of Denver College of Law, where he served as national co-chairman; Duke’s Arts & Sciences Campaign Committee; and the board of trustees, Institute for Clinical Social Work, Chicago. Scrivner studied political science and history at Duke, earned his master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a law degree from the University of Denver College of Law.
