Internship Handbook for Undergraduates

Career Services - Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy

Internship Handbook

This handbook is designed to answer many of the questions you may have about the Public Policy Studies internship requirement and serve as a guide as you plan your summer internship.

The PPS internship program provides each student an opportunity to study the issues around a policy area, to apply the classroom experience in an internship during the summer and to return to the classroom to build on that fresh knowledge and experience.

The internship experience is intended to help you explore your own interests as they relate to the field of public policy. Your internship will give you the opportunity to put your own theories to the test of practical conditions and your knowledge to work on the problems that confront our policy makers in all arenas.

The Office of Career Services and Alumni Relations is available to assist you in your pursuit of an educational and rewarding internship. If you have any additional questions, please call or visit our office in 257 Sanford Building.
