The Offer

If you have received an offer, but have not heard anything from other organizations you applied to:

  1. Call the other organizations and inform their contact person that you have received an offer.
  2. Ask them when you will receive information regarding your selection so that you can reply to the offer.
  3. Then, call the organization that offered you a position, thank them, inform them that you are still awaiting the results of other applications and tell them how much time you will need to make your decision.
  4. Ask them how long you will have to decide on their offer.

If you have received an offer and wish to accept it:

  1. Fulfill the acceptance procedure outlined in your offer, whether that be by phoning the organization or submitting a letter of acceptance.
  2. Then, fill out the internship approval form and send it to your sponsor by mail or fax.
  3. Ask them to sign the form and fax it to the Internship Office at 919-684-2153.
  4. Summarize your internship responsibilities in a one-page paper, and submit it to the Internship Office for approval.
  5. Notify your sponsor once your internship has been approved.
