HLP 20th Anniversary

7,300 days; 175,200 hours; 10,512,000 minutes-any way you quantify it, two decades is time worth celebrating.

This year, the Hart Leadership Program is proud to announce its 20th Anniversary. Through its various programs, HLP has offered Duke students unique opportunities in leadership, service, research, and entrepreneurship. Bolstered by a core of talented professors, mentors, and community partners, HLP has helped redefine the way students approach their education, encouraging them to think critically and creatively and to put their knowledge
to use in the world.

Join us in Durham Nov. 9-10, 2007 to honor twenty years of growth and change. Connect with professors, current students, administrators, supporters, and several generations of HLP participants as we reflect on two decades of accomplishment and look forward to a bright future.

After 20 years, the Hart Leadership Program has plenty to share, in words and pictures. Now is your chance to share your experiences, too. Click on the link below for a photographic look through the years at all four of HLP's main programs. The photos run the gamut, depicting ELI or LANY students busy in class or in the field, Hart Fellows with local families around the world, and SOL students. Let us know if the pictures trigger an HLP memory, or several, for you. Do you see yourself or friends in a picture? Remember when, where or why it was taken? Have a fun anecdote to go with a photo?

Share your own stories after viewing the photos. Above each slide is a number and below is the e-mail address hlp20years@gmail.com. Shoot us an e-mail noting which number slide you are describing, and tell us what you know, and we will post your reflection underneath. Or you can send your own photos to us and we'll add them to the slideshow.

Enjoy!
