Sophie Lehman
Program Specialist

Sophie Lehman is a senior from Claremont, California and is in her fourth year with the Hart Leadership Program. She is double majoring in history and political science and pursuing a global health certificate.

Sophie currently serves the captain and president of the Duke Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team. She spent fall 2007 studying abroad on a Tibetan and Himalayan Studies program that took her to Tibet, India, and Nepal. Before that, Sophie was also the 2006-07 Program Director of Project WILD (Wilderness Initiatives for Learning at Duke), a two week pre-orientation program that takes incoming freshman backpacking in Pisgah National Forest.

An avid outdoorswoman, she completed her first Adventure Race in September 2006 on a team sponsored by the Duke Outing Club. The 24 hour race encompassed 18 miles of trekking, 34 miles of mountain biking, and 17 miles of canoeing.
