Duke alumni who have participated in ELI projects are a diverse but loyal group. Their ranks include lawyers, physicians, leaders of non-profit organizations, and business owners, among other professions. Through his electronic newsletters, phone calls, surveys and personal visits, Tony Brown and current ELI staff stay in touch with nearly 1,000 alumni, providing the same support and encouragement that distinguish the ELI teaching and mentoring style.
