Homecoming
Ah, Poipet! A chaotic place, described by my Lonely Planet as the armpit of Cambodia. The contrast is great as you cross over from Thailand. A jumble of new casinos elbow in among rickety wooden houses. The road is a dusty mess of dirt and broken asphalt. Signs warn that the Thai government takes no responsibility for your health, money or life should you choose to leave its friendly kingdom to gamble. more >>
