About DuPRI
The Duke Population Research Institute (DuPRI), founded in academic year 2005-2006, is an interdisciplinary research organization bringing together researchers, from the biological, mathematical, statistical, social and policy sciences, who work in various programs, laboratories, centers and departments at Duke. DuPRI, through its Board of Directors, coordinates research projects in the following centers: PPARC, CREDA, CPSES, CSDE and CPHA..
PPARC is the Population, Policy and Aging Research Center
CREDA is the Center for Research on the Evolutionary Demography of Aging
CPSES is the Chinese Populations and Socioeconomic Studies Center
CSDE is the Center for Social Demography and Ethnography
CPHA is the Center for Population Health and Aging.
The mission of DuPRI is to give Duke an internationally-recognized world-class asset in the field of population research. The Institute seeks to enhance Duke’s reputation in the area of demography and population science as well as expand the current boundaries of demographic investigation.
