Our People:The Staff of PPARC consists of Faculty Director James W. Vaupel, Deputy Director Kaare Christensen, Administrative Program Director Cheryl Maloney, and PPARC Administrative Data Manager Tanya Exum-Coston. PPARC also often houses one or more Duke-based research staff working on PPARC grants. PPARC researchers include: Magda Muszynska.
PI(s) & Project Leaders: Principal Investigators and Project Leaders are responsible for research programs and/or projects as funded through grants. PPARC’s NIA grants are based on the vision of these research leaders.
Investigators & Advisors: To undertake a research project, each PI and Project Leader enlists key people. These people are the heart of the grant. They are research scientists, medical doctors and nurses, research managers, project coordinators, statisticians, consultants, advisors, postdoctoral researchers, and collaborators.
Scientific Colleagues: PPARC researchers rely on many colleagues to help shape their research projects. Of key importance are the people who participate in PPARC's research discussions and workshops. This list gives the names of people who are helping with, or interested in, PPARC's future research directions.This list is always "under construction."
