Model Organizations

There are few better ways for young adults to learn about the actual workings of international organizations than by participating in simulations. Over the last quarter of a century, TISS has been involved in number of different efforts to promote model organizations of one sort or another. In the 1980s it worked with HBCUs to get Model UN programs started; in the 1990s it backed an effort by NCSU students to organize a Model EU conference for high schools; and for the last decade it has sponsored Shaw University's delegates to a Model NATO and (now) to a Model UN conference. The following web pages have been created to assist high school students and teachers who would like to start a group in this area and are not quite sure where to begin.
