MPP Master's Project (MP) Deadline Dates
Academic Year 2007 - 2008
To Graduate in September, 2007:
Prior to June 30, 2007
Signed Approval of Prospectus
for Master's Project Form due to the MPP Program
Coordinator’s office (172 Rubenstein Hall).
Sunday, July 1, 2007 (or prior):
Complete the Apply to Graduate form on Aces any time before 5 PM on this date if you intend on graduating
in September
2007. Log in on ACES and click on the Academics heading. The Apply to Graduate Form is the last link.
Monday, July 2, 2007 by 5:00 PM:
Masters Project draft due to MP Advisor.
Wednesday, August 1, 2007 by 5:00 PM:
Masters Project FINAL (bound) with Non-Thesis Exam Card signed by your
MP Advisor and DGS due (to the office of the MPP Program Coordinator, 172
Rubenstein Hall). In addition to the bound copy, an electronic (PDF) version
of your Master’s Project needs to be emailed to the MPP Program (mail
to: dukempp@duke.edu ) prior to August 1 .

excellent tools to help covert your Word files to .PDF format.
Blank Non-Thesis Exam Cards are available from the Program Coordinator; stop by 172 RH to pick up one or, for those completing projects off campus, request that one be delivered to your MP Advisor’s Sanford office. One bound copy of your MP goes to Program Coordinator - your MP Advisor may ask for an additional bound copy.
To Graduate in December, 2007:

Master’s Project draft due to MP Advisor.
November 2007 (dates TBA): Oral presentations of Master's Projects for all MPP and joint-degree students graduating in December 2007 who started the program in August 2004 or later.
Tuesday, December 4, 2007 by 5:00 PM:
Masters Project FINAL (bound) with Non-Thesis Exam Card signed by your

April, 2008 (Dates TBA):
Oral presentations of Master's Projects for all MPP and joint-degree
students graduating in May 2008 who started the program in August 2004 or
later.
Friday, April 18, 2008 by 5:00 PM: Masters Project FINAL (bound) with Non-Thesis Exam Card signed by your MP Advisor and DGS due (to the office of the MPP Program Coordinator, 172 Rubenstein Hall). In addition to the bound copy, an electronic (PDF) version of your Master’s Project needs to be emailed to the MPP Program (mail to: dukempp@duke.edu ) prior to April 27. http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ or http://www.primopdf.com/ are excellent tools to help covert your Word files to .PDF format.
In rare cases, an extension beyond this final date may be necessary. Any such extensions must be approved in advance by the DGS.
