Admissions
Applications must be received by November 21, 2008 at 5:00PM EST.
To apply to the 2009 Duke University Program on Global Policy and Governance, please e-mail the following documentation to geneva@duke.edu:
- Completed application form (Word doc),
- Current resume in standard format (Word doc),
- Two letters of recommendation from people familiar with your professional, community service and/or academic work. References should send letters of recommendation directly to geneva@duke.edu.
- A two-page statement of interest. Please describe how your previous academic and professional experience, as well as any international experience, has provided a foundation for your interest in the Geneva program and has prepared you to excel in the program. Address the ways in which the Program on Global Policy and Governance aligns with your professional plans and goals, including your plans after graduate school.
Students will receive a final admissions decision from the program in late December 2008. Criteria for admission include your educational and professional background, leadership skills, relevance of the program to your career goals, and your commitment to participating in the program.
How much does the program cost?
The program fee is $2500. If you are accepted to the program, a $500 nonrefundable deposit is due to the program by January 9, 2009 with the remaining $2000 due by April 10, 2009. Please note that the program fee does not cover room and board, airfare, and other living expenses.
The Program on Global Policy and Governance/Global Health Fellows Program cannot provide partial or full scholarships for participants. Each participant is responsible for program fee, room and board, airfare and other living expenses. Students should work with their schools or sponsors to determine how all costs will be paid.
