More than 100 political cartoons and carictures by award-winning cartoonist Kevin "Kal" Kallaugher are on display. An illustrator for "The Economist" magazine since 1978, and for "The Baltimore Sun" for 17 years, Kal's satirizes major political figures and events. The families of Brazilian sugarcane workers endure months of separation each year as the fathers leave to work the fields. Photographer Emma Raynes documents her work to help strengthen connections between 40 absent fathers and their families through photography, correspondence and recorded dialogue. Organizing Carbon Capture and Storage Deployment

Jeff M. Bielicki of Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government will discuss "Organizing Carbon Capture and Storage Deployment: Returns to Scale for the Coupled Technological System." Bielicki will present his work-in-progress on the returns to scale for CCS deployment. He will introduce an innovation in geospatial optimization methodology for infrastructure planning and deployment, the interaction of the returns to scale for each technological component of the CCS system and for the entire system, and a number of policy relevant questions such as the choice of where within a potential storage basin to focus on site-specific reservoir characterization, where to locate injection sites, and where to place trunk distribution pipelines.
