Sanford Institute students are required to complete a summer internship to apply the many skills learned during their first year to actual policy problems.

- Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Congressional Affairs Office, Rockville, Md.
- Georgia Department of Education, Office of Policy, Atlanta, Ga.
Summer in Uganda

Transportation was one of many challenges faced by second-year master’s
students Dave Cohen (pushing truck) and Kenzie Strong when they worked on
capacity building projects in Kapchorwa, Uganda, for their summer internship.
